Chapter-11 |kiss|

Ekansh’s POV:-

After she left, I didn’t see her again.

Still, my heart was beating like a war drum. I had finally found her—my Ishani. My love. My life. My obsession. I will never let her go. No matter what.

The marriage rituals started, but my eyes weren’t on the bride or groom. They searched for only one face.

And when she finally appeared, walking beside Anjali Bhabi, my world stopped.

She wore a red lehenga, the embroidery shimmering under the mandap lights. Her hair framed her delicate face, and her eyes—God, those eyes—were wet, red… like she had been crying.

Even in pain, she looked like an angel.

My angel.

Her brother rushed to her, asking something. She smiled, lied to him. I noticed. Because I knew her too well. She may fool the world, but not me.

My lips curved into a smile. She could run. She could hide. She could fight. But she would always be mine.

---

Later that night, I stood with Anuj, discussing business, though my mind was far away.

“When will you fly back to New York?” Anuj asked.

I smirked. “Not yet. I have unfinished work here.”

Siddhant’s eyes flicked to me knowingly. He understood exactly what I meant.

And then—she appeared. Walking past us, her steps small and hesitant. She avoided my eyes, like always.

But Anuj’s voice chained her to me.

“Isha, can you show them the guest rooms, please?”

She froze. “They… will s-stay?” Her voice shook. Her fear fed my smile. Even after a year, she still trembled because of me.

“Yes, they’ll stay,” Anuj confirmed.

She tried to escape. “Bhaiya, why don’t you show them? I have to check on Sushree Bhabi—”

“Your Bhabi is already asleep. And I have work. Please, Isha.”

Her lips pressed tightly. “O-Okay… c-come with m-me.”

I followed her silently, savoring every second. Her scent filled the air, her steps quickened like she couldn’t wait to get rid of me.

She showed Siddhant his room first. He tried to talk to her, his voice gentle.

“How are you, Ishani?”

She ignored him. Her silence was a blade.

“You won’t talk to me?” he asked, hurt in his tone.

“I don’t know you, Mr. Siddhant. Good night.”

The words cut him. I almost laughed. Good. She belongs to me. Not to anyone else.

Then came my turn.

Ishani’s POV:-

I stood in front of the last room, my hands cold. “This is your room,” I whispered, eager to leave.

But before I could take a step, his hand shot out. He pulled me inside, slammed the door shut, and locked it.

My heart raced violently. “W-what are you doing?! L-leave me!” I stammered, fear choking my voice.

He pressed me against the wall, his body towering over mine. His grip wasn’t harsh, but strong enough that I couldn’t move.

His smirk made my stomach twist. “Why, baby… do you also pretend you don’t know me?”

I clenched my fists, mustering courage. “Yes. I don’t know you.” My voice shook, but I forced myself to look him in the eyes.

His smirk deepened. “Ooo… really? Then let me remind you.”

“Wha—” Before I could finish, his lips crashed onto mine.

I gasped, pushing at his chest, but he didn’t budge. His kiss was wild, desperate. He wasn’t just kissing me—he was claiming me.

“Lea-v… mmhhmmm—” My words drowned under his forceful lips. He pinned me tighter, one hand fisting my hair, tilting my head back. His tongue invaded my mouth, devouring, exploring, dominating.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I struggled, hitting his chest, scratching his arms—but he didn’t stop. He kissed me like a madman, like he had been starving for years.

Finally, he pulled back, both of us breathing heavily. His eyes burned into mine.

“See? Your lips remember me, even if you say you don’t.”

I shoved him, but he gripped my wrists, holding me still. “You can lie to the world, Ishani. But not to me.”

“L-let me go, Ekansh,” I whispered, my voice breaking.

His face softened, but his grip didn’t loosen. “I searched for you for so long. You think I’ll let you slip away again?” His voice trembled between anger and pain.

I shook my head, tears flowing. “You destroyed me once. I won’t let you again.”

Something flickered in his eyes—hurt? Regret? But before I could think, I gathered my strength and kneed him hard where it hurt the most.

“Aaah—!” He staggered back, groaning.

I didn’t wait. I darted to the door, unlocked it, and ran. My heart thundered as I slammed my room shut and locked it.

---

Inside the bathroom, I collapsed against the sink. My reflection stared back at me—red lips, swollen eyes, hair a mess.

I rubbed my lips with shaking hands. “No, no, no…” My voice cracked. Tears blurred my vision.

I washed my face furiously, as if water could erase what happened. My body trembled. Why now? Why him? Why here?

Taking shaky breaths, I whispered to myself, “Everything will be fine, Isha. He’ll leave soon. Nothing will happen. Your brothers are here. They’ll protect you. Just… relax.”

But no matter how much I tried to convince myself, one truth echoed louder in my head.

He was back.

And this time… he wasn’t going to leave.
