Ekansh Singh Rathor:-
The man tied to the chair trembled, sweat dripping down his forehead. His lips quivered as he pleaded,
“P-please… please don’t kill me.”
I stepped closer, my footsteps echoing in the silent, dimly lit room. I crouched in front of him, locking my cold eyes with his terrified ones.
“You know,” I whispered, my voice calm but dangerous, “I don’t like people who betray me. And you…” I tilted my head, “you betrayed me by giving information to my enemy. Didn’t you?”
He shook his head frantically.
“N-no! I didn’t… I swear, I didn’t!”
I chuckled, a low, humorless laugh.
“Fucking liar.”
I walked toward the table, where all the tools of torture were laid out—knives, pliers, a hammer, and more. My fingers hovered over them before finally picking up a sharp knife. Without hesitation, I stabbed it deep into his shoulder.
“Aaaaaaahhhh! AHHHHHHHH!” he screamed, writhing in pain, blood soaking his shirt.
I smirked, leaning closer, watching the fear consume him.
“Now… will you accept it? Or should I play a little more with you?”
His chest heaved as he gasped for air, tears mixing with sweat. Finally, he broke.
“N-no… please… no! I… I gave him the information! About you! I told him everything! Please forgive me…”
I tilted my head, my smile fading. My hand reached into my jacket and pulled out a gun.
“Too late.”
BANG!
The bullet pierced his skull. His lifeless body slumped in the chair.
I didn’t even flinch. No mercy for traitors. Never.
I called one of my men, who rushed inside.
“Clean this mess up,” I ordered coldly before leaving the cell.
---
Back in my office, I buried myself in paperwork, trying to calm the storm inside me. The door suddenly opened without a knock, and Siddhant strolled in, dropping into the chair opposite me.
“Hey,” he said casually.
I shot him a glare.
“How many times have I told you to knock before coming in?”
He smirked.
“And how many times have you forgiven me? You’re not gonna shoot me, are you?”
I sighed. Who was I kidding? He was my best friend. I could never hurt him.
“Did you find anything?” I asked, my tone sharp.
His expression turned serious. “I searched everywhere. But… I can’t find her.”
My hand slammed against the table in frustration.
“Then where the hell is she?!”
He hesitated. “I think… she left the country. Maybe your sister knows something. Did she say anything to you?”
My jaw tightened. “No. No matter what I ask, she doesn’t tell me anything.”
My eyes flickered to the photo frame on my desk—a picture of me and her. My kitten.
“Leave, Siddhant,” I said, my voice low, masking the ache in my chest. “If you have nothing useful, then go. I have work to do.”
I poured myself a glass of whiskey and took a slow sip.
“Alright,” he said, standing up.
“By the way… you know Avimanyu is getting married, right?”
“Yeah. He gave me the invitation,” I muttered, staring at the computer screen.
“So… when are we going?” Siddhant pressed.
“I don’t know. That’s your responsibility. And don’t forget to bring a gift,” I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
He rolled his eyes dramatically. “Fine, fine. You’re impossible.” He waved as he left the office.
---
When the door closed, silence fell again. My gaze returned to the computer screen, where her smiling face shone back at me from the wallpaper.
“Where are you, kitten?” I whispered. My chest tightened. “It’s been a year since you left me. But I’ll find you… no matter where you run. And when I do…” My voice darkened, “you won’t be able to leave me again. That’s my promise.”
I walked over to the couch and sank into it, leaning my head back, closing my eyes.
“The day I meet you again,” I murmured to myself, “I’ll make you completely mine.”
Memories flooded my mind—her laughter, the warmth of her embrace, the way her eyes sparkled with love whenever she looked at me. My lips curved slightly, remembering the softness of her kiss.
Unconsciously, my thumb brushed against my lips.
“These lips crave your taste again. This hand aches to feel you once more. I want that moment back—the moment when you hugged me like I was your whole world. Your eyes, filled with love and warmth…”
A bitter smile touched my face.
“You can run, kitten. But you’re mine. Always mine.”
